Finding Self Reliance and Constructive Changes

Finding self reliance and constructive changes is easy once a person realizes what is bothering them and how they can make changes and be successful. When making constructive changes you need to know whom you are and like you.

You need to know who you are and how do you like that person before you can make good constructive changes. Find your inner feelings by using subliminal thinking skills.  Discover any doubts you have by using your subconscious mind. Travel inside to see doubts, fears, and work toward removing them. Only you can see your inner feelings; and you have to decide on the changes that you can make to feel better about you and life. No one can make changes in your life except yourself.

How to overcome procrastination – It all depends on you

Procrastinators put off all the hard jobs. But they get stuck in a vicious circle of postponing the easy jobs, too. And the longer they put them off, the harder the jobs are when they finally get around to them. Successful people fight the same war against procrastination that we all face, but they have learned not to give in. They know that procrastination is the cause of many of the problems we face in our daily lives.

Procrastination creates a never-ending cycle of frustration, stress, and defeat. When people learn how to take charge of their lives, their self-esteem improves and their confidence grows. No matter how long you’ve been struggling with the demon of procrastination, you can start to take control of your life today by tackling a job or responsibility you’ve been putting off.

Time – Your most valuable asset in the war against procrastination

Research shows that people spend most of their time and effort working on activities that have nothing to do with the success of their projects. I’m convinced that procrastination is the main reason people fail to live richer lives. If you want to get serious about eliminating the habit of procrastination, you can start right now by recognizing that your most valuable asset is time.

- Learn how to use your time efficiently. Make sure that people know when you don’t want to be interrupted-don’t blame other people when you don’t have enough time to finish a task. When you miss a deadline, plan how you’re going to finish the remainder of the work instead of making excuses about why you didn’t get it done on time. Then do it.

How to overcome procrastination – Just do it!

The first step toward overcoming procrastination is recognizing that procrastination is a problem. Procrastinators have big problems and small problems, but the fact is that most of their problems are caused by procrastination.

All procrastinators share certain traits:

- Procrastinators know what they should do about a problem, and in many cases they know what specific action needs to be taken. Yet they find reasons to avoid action.

- Procrastinators are reluctant to do anything about a problem now, vowing to take action at some vague time in the future.

- Procrastinators promise to take action when the “right” circumstances present themselves. By making performance of the job depend on something else, they justify their decision to delay action. They delude themselves into thinking that their hands are tied. They would like to do something but can’t-it’s not their fault.

How to defeat procrastination – Believe you can

The power of belief is a key to success in everything we do. Whether your goal is to rise to the top of your profession or to be a better weekend golfer, you have a better chance of success if you believe you’ll be successful. And by believing that you can defeat procrastination, you can start to take charge of your life today.

Learn how to control your negative thoughts. When your mind says you can’t do something, refuse to listen to it. Don’t express your negative thoughts in words; tell your mind-and say it out loud-that you’re going to do what it takes to get the job done.

It isn’t easy, but it’s worth the effort. Many people procrastinate because they’ve made up their minds that they’re going to fail. If you are one of these people, the most important thing you can do today is to stop believing what the procrastination demon has been telling you.

Workplace Dilemma 101 – How to Get Organized

Being organized at work means a lot of things. You need to be organized with your desk, your filing cabinets and even with your computer. If you are not organized at work it does not give a good impression with your boss, your friends and your colleagues at work. It’s not really a hard task. Here are some tips to get you started.

Create a short term goal. Don’t just tell yourself that you want your workplace to be organized. It takes a lot of work and it is almost impossible to be organized that quickly. You might want to set some goals such as organizing your files in alphabetical order. This will get the job done quicker and you will have one less task to do once you’ve completed it.

The first thing to do is to remove all your junk. Pick out what you can keep and what you can throw out. You’ll notice that some stuff is just gathering dust. Don’t be too attached to your things that even if you don’t need them at work you’re still holding onto them. Throw out what you clearly can’t use.

Paper-cluttered? Here are some tips.

Do you feel that everywhere in your office or home, you see nothing but paper? Here are some simple tips in helping keep the paper you have whether in your office or home organized.

1. Keep a trash can or pail right next to the mail box. Tear up or throw away mail that is not important, such as advertising that you did not ask for as well as other papers that you do not want or need. If it is a document that is not necessary and is not pressing, then it is a document that you should not keep. You don’t want all that junk mail. Treat it like junk and throw it away.

2. Avoid piling up the papers. Give a time every day for going through all the documents you have and eliminate things that you do not need or that do not require your immediate attention. This may include newspapers and magazines which you can store for future reading and recycling. You should remember however to take them out from time to time and not stack them for too long of a time, like a month or even a year.

Organization 101: To Throw or Not to Throw

It all depends on your decision-making skills and the object you are considering throwing or keeping.

Sort it out.

Mail received needs careful consideration, especially when they have been piling up for the past months or years! All bills received in the mail as well as personal letters should be placed in a box or a folder that indicates such.  Decide immediately the correspondence that is worthy to be tossed in the trash; that catalogue from last year perhaps, or that invitation to acquire a credit card.  If it is irrelevant, there is no use in keeping them.

Clean it out.

Admit it, there are clothes found in your closet that you haven’t worn for the past twentyfour months.  What is the best thing to do?  Throw it out!  Clean your closet of space-occupying clothes that no longer fit you, or that you never really liked.   What’s the use of keeping it?  Give it to someone else who would appreciate it more.  The same goes for toys.

Organizing the Room

One’s bedroom is the best place where a person can do anything inside without being disturbed.  By organizing it to be safe and clutter free, it will be a place where one can relax, study and just feel comfortable.

Organizing the room can be done at anytime. It just needs the person to focus on the task at hand and finish it before doing anything else. Here are some tips;

1.  The first thing to do is to clean up the room. There shouldn’t be anything like toys, books or shoes lying around so that the individual or anyone who comes inside will not trip on anything. These should be placed in their proper place such as the shelf or the cabinet.  Shoes must be placed in a rack or under the bed so no one will accidentally trip when inside the room.

2. Old stuff such as clothes, books and other things that are no longer needed should be packed and boxed and placed in the garage for storage or given away to charity.

How to Organize the Garage: The Great Clutter Control

Some people just do not  want to admit it, but they probably have loads of stuff in their garage that they hardly ever use. According to some reports, most people use just 20% of the things placed in the garage.

The remaining 80%? They are left hanging somewhere or scattered in different directions so that one could almost imagine that the place is already being lived in by different beast-like creatures.

The problem with most people who have cluttered garages, is that they tend to keep things for various reasons, sentimental or otherwise. However, one should realize that it is still important to clear some space in their garage.
