Are you female? If you are, there is a good chance that you have an unlimited number of different issues to deal with on a daily basis. Many of those issues are likely health and beauty related, like hair removal. If you are having a problem with unwanted body hair, did you know that you don’t have to suffer any longer? There are a number of steps that you can take to make this unsightly issue, disappear and possibly for good.

The first step in getting rid of your unwanted body hair is to examine all of your options. As you likely already know, there are a number of different ways to remove unwanted body hair. Some of these hair removal methods are temporary and others are more permanent. If you have had enough of dealing with your unwanted body hair, you will want to continue reading on.

When it comes to removing unwanted body hair, the most common method used is that of shaving. Many women, often a weekly basis, shave their unwanted body hair on their legs and armpits. While shaving is nice, it is a hair removal method that is temporary. That is why many women often end up saving once or even twice a week. It is also important to mention that shaving in certain areas, especially the face, can make unwanted body hair even worse. That is why you may want to take the time to examine your other options.

Speaking of your other options, for removing unwanted body hair, another one of your options is that of waxing. Waxing is a popular hair removal method, as there are a number of different ways to undergo it. Waxing is commonly offered as a service at many hair salons, beauty salons, and spas. With that in mind, there are also home waxing kits that you can buy to perform your own wax jobs right in the comfort of your own home. Additional reasons as to why waxing is a popular hair removal method is because it is affordable and more permanent than shaving.

Another one of the many ways that you can remove your unwanted body hair is by using hair removal creams. Hair removal creams are often marketed as an easy way to remove unsightly body hair. While this is true, not all hair removal creams work the same. This means that you may have to experiment with multiple brands of hair removal cream to find the cream that works the best for you. Should you decide to use hair removal cream, as a way to remove your unwanted body hair, it is important that you read all directions, as some hair removal creams can only be used on certain areas of your body safely.

Although waxing is more permanent than shaving, many individual who use waxing to remove their unwanted body hair have to do so on a monthly basis. If you are looking to remove your unwanted body hair for good or at least for a period of one year or more, you will want to examine laser hair removal. Laser hair removal is one hair removal method that is rapidly increasing in popularity, as it is often permanent for many individuals.

Despite the fact that laser hair removal is increasing in popularity, there still many women who opt not to undergo a laser hair removal procedure. One of those reasons is due to cost. Yes, it can be expensive to undergo a laser hair removal procedure, but you need to think long-term. When compared to the cost of shaving, waxing, or buying hair removal creams overtime, you may be able to save a considerable amount of money with laser hair removal.

The above mentioned laser hair removal methods are just a few of the many that you have to choose from. If your unwanted body hair is such an issue that you hate going out in public, you may want to consider consulting with your primary care physician for professional advice.

Are you a female who is employed? If you are, do you work in an office setting? Although office related jobs are one of the best to have, as they allow you to work in a comfortable environment and they often pay well, there is much drama that is associated with office workplace settings. For that reason, you need to proceed with caution, especially concerning the clothes that you wear.

One of the many reasons why you should be careful with what you wear to work is because something simple, like your clothing, can be turned into a much larger issue. It may become a large issue that may cause you problems at work or an issue that may cause you to quit or lose your job. Since there is a good chance that you don’t want that to happen, you will want to continue reading on.

One of the many ways that you can avoid issues or complications at work is by carefully reviewing your workplace dress code. Reviewing the dress code of your workplace is extremely important, especially if you are a new employee. There are many companies that are a little bit vague on their dress code expectations and restrictions, but not all are. It is common to find restrictions such as no dresses or skirts with hems above the knees or no tank-tops. If you are still unsure as to what you can and cannot wear at work, you may want to speak with your supervisor. In this instance, it is better safe than sorry.

Another one of the many ways that you can avoid issues or complications at work is by placing yourself in the shoes of your customers. This is particularly important if you interact with your company’s clients and customers. Since your actions, as well as your appearance will not only reflect highly on you, yourself, but your employer as well, it is important that you take your clothing into consideration. For instance, if you worked as a loan officer, how do you think that your clients would feel if you showed up for work to deal with them in shorts and a tank-top? If you wouldn’t business with someone looking like that, there is a good chance that others wouldn’t as well.

In addition to placing yourself in the shoes of your company’s clients and customers, it is also advised that you place yourself in the shoes of your coworkers. There is a good chance that you are at least somewhat familiar with your coworkers. This means that you may already know what they talk or gossip about. If one of your coworker were to show up at work wearing a short sundress, what you would you think about them? In all honesty, there is a good chance that your thoughts wouldn’t necessarily be pleasant. You need to remember that others likely think the same way as well. That is why you need to, personally, be careful with what you wear to work, unless you want to be the center of gossip.

One of the many ways that you can find appropriate clothing to wear to work is by using the internet to your advantage. What you may want to do is visit the online websites of upscale clothing stores. Upscale clothing stores, especially those with a focus on career-oriented women, are less likely to have “skimpy,” clothing available for sale. While you don’t have to make your purchases from the retailers that you examine online, you can still get some great clothing ideas. It is also important to mention that many upscale clothing stores also place a focus on the latest fashions. This means that you can dress appropriately for work, while still looking fashionable at the same time.

The above mentioned points are all points that you will want to take into consideration, especially when getting dressed for work first thing in the morning. By taking a few extra minutes to think about your appearance for work, you may completely eliminate or reduce the chances of you being involved in shady workplace related issues, like gossip.

In the olden days, women seek the outdoor sun rays to darken their colors. Although, there is some potion applied to their skins, they still have to endure the pain of ultraviolet rays just to achieve the most-sought after, fabulous tan color. Getting a tan color through the sun rays is easy; could be achieved in just a matter of hours; is free; but is dangerous.

But despite with the threat of harm from the UV sun rays or even from the tanning beds, many still seek these two tanning applications Fortunately, in 1987, a caring manufacturer started to produce safe alternative by formulating sunless tanning products. These have become the most reputable tanning products manufacturer where many have come to patronize and trust their results.

California Tan products are currently the world’s top selling UV lotions. This is not to be surprised though as every California Tan product is a constant reminder of their reliability and dedication to develop the most advanced professional tanning skin care products.

The sunless tan trend

The California Tan Sunless tanning products will give you that look you so admire from those other women who are naturally tanned in color. Yes, you can have this natural look with the sunless tanning products of California Tan because each is ensured to have the right formulation to provide streak-free, glowing and healthy tan result. Unlike with the others, which would only make your skin sport overall unnatural, orange results, a California Tan Sunless lotion will take care of your skin for an effective application.

The California Tan Sunless was introduced in the cosmetic world as the most appropriate alternative to those other tanning procedures. It is also the latest trend in tanning innovation. The same with other California Tan UV lotions, the sunless trend will allow you to sport that natural-looking, streak-free tanned skin without endangering your skin layers. Also, applying the sunless tanning is done through easy steps of preparing, developing, extending, and enhancing the color procedures.

Tan beauty without the sun rays

Sunless tanning has become the fast route to achieving safe, fabulous tan by staying out of the damaging sun rays. The California sunless trend has perfected this application by offering complete different ways to achieve sunless tanning results in as fast as less than 10 minutes.

The automated stand-up units, handheld spray equipment, and airbrush equipment are the latest craze offered by California Tan in the tanning cosmetic world. These are particularly found through professional tanning salons and spas. Application is done by entering into the stand-up unit; have personally sprayed by the salon’s trained technician; in no time at all, you get immediate sunless tanning treatment and result in just a matter of minutes.

Another sunless tanning application is through the use of California Tan self-tanning lotions and sprays. These are often referred to as the California Tan bronzers, which let you achieve the same sunkissed result without visiting the tanning salon or spa. These products also provide you realistic, natural tan result as these do not contained dyes, as seen in the earlier tanning lotions. Instead of dyes, California Tan self-tanners are infused with Dihydroxyacetone (DHA), a formulation known to create the tan color by developing brown coloring on the upper skin layer.

Achieving natural tan color does not have to be painful and harmful as staying out and exposing to UV sun rays. With the California Tan Sunless tanning products, you can have that fabulous color all year round without harming your skin layers.

The desire to remove unwanted hair permanently is high on every person’s mind and many would even prefer doing so in the privacy of their homes. However, such persons that desire permanent hair removal are not faced with too many options, and they should also be wary of scams as well as rip-offs that are many as well. You should stay clear of things that sound too good to be true, as in most instances that are what they really are.

Electrolysis At Home

You may try out electrolysis as a method for permanent hair removal, which can be performed at home using an ultra thin metal probe that needs to be inserted into the hair follicle to which a tiny bit of electricity is applied, which will then result in permanent hair removal. You may not need to pay more than forty to fifty dollars to purchase a home electrolysis unit, though choosing a model that allows for inserting a probe into the hair follicle may be a better choice as those that do not feature this property will only give your temporary removal of hair at best.

Still, using permanent hair removal with the help of a home electrolysis kit can be somewhat touchy as removal of each hair individually is very time consuming, which is made even worse when your hair are particularly thick. And, for those who are not especially experienced with such a method, the chances of accidentally causing damage to the skin are greatly increased. Thus, a trained professional may be the best person to perform permanent hair removal.

You can also get permanent hair removal results by using a topical cream known as Vaniqa, which you can only get with a prescription. This topical cream will slow the growth of new hair and should be used along with supplementary hair control methods including shaving as well as plucking. You should apply it twice daily, and is only meant for use by women and that too only for their facial hairs. Once this cream for permanent hair removal is discontinued, it will result in the hair growing back once more.

You can also choose to use medications for permanent hair removal, which may greatly reduce the growth of new hair through reduction in testosterone as well as androgen hormones that are the reason why hair grows in the first place. With the rather limited options open to those desirous of permanent hair removal, it is very often the case that these unfortunate persons get taken in by scams and they end up losing money by buying expensively priced products that are neither proven, nor are they found to work satisfactorily. So, before spending your money, consult a dermatologist about the proper permanent hair removal methods and stick to these recommendations.

Hi Folks, I thought I’d do a “Beauty Special” blog Carnival because I’ve seen a few reallygreat posts out there focussed on beauty.

Here they are:

Juggling a husband, kids, a home and a job can be a real struggle. More often than not, there isn’t enough time to strike off every item on your to-do list. You’re tired, worn out, run down and it shows, but who has hours to spend primping in front of a mirror? Beautiful answers this question in their informative article on how to go from Blah to babe in an Hour or less.

Two great ways to lose weight is to start a low cal or a low carb diet. Thea Cu’s Weight Loss blog gives an overview of low cal and low carb diets. All of us know that eating too much, having too many calories, eating unhealthy food increases our weight as well as creates many health problems. Thus, it’s advisable to keep a check on the weight and eat healthy balanced diet which helps in reducing weight.

The key to successful weight loss is learning how to reduce fat in a healthy way. While most of us would love to wake up thinner tomorrow, reducing fat slowly is the only healthy way to lose weight. HF self elaborates more on how to lose weight the healthy way.

Is it really possible to get a one minute manicure? The answer, surprisingly, is yes. Beauty and Lifestyle brings you a fantastic article on getting a one minute manicure!

As with most things in life, setting goals is very important when dieting. When you look at things truthfully and objectively you should notice that most of the things you’ve accomplished in life have been accomplished because you not only had a goal but also had a clearly planned and well thought out process for achieving that goal. That being said, why is goal setting so important when it comes to dieting? Dieting Solutions sets out to answer this question.

Investigating the different methods of eliminating unsightly hair can require some research. Many methods are commonly known, and used on a daily basis. Hair removal products can be purchased over the counter; or, service can be acquired at a spa or clinic. Anna Lin checks out hair removal products.

“New visions to Go!” Brings you a great article all about dressing for success in the office.

When it comes to dieting there are many mistakes that are made on a near daily basis. While there are many real profound mistakes that go along with the territory there are a few that seem to have far more profound and lasting implications than others. Dieting Solutions brings you a list of the most important dieting mistakes to avoid.

American over 65 account for half of all new cases of skin cancer. Damage to the skin doesn’t happen overnight but accumulates over years. Living Light gives you some great tips to keep safe in the sun.

That’s it for this carnival.. stay tuned for more!

Choosing the right face mask for you can be difficult. What is in the mask? Will you have an allergic reaction to something in it? Which one will work best for my face and skin type. The answer is to not choose one at all. Give yourself a quick and simple do it yourself beauty treatment by making a facemask at home right in your kitchen. It will be natural and you will know exactly what you are putting on and into your skin.

Though you can certainly put together your own facemask based on your knowledge of your own skin care, there are some ideas out there you can use. Whether you use the ideas here or make up your own, you will be sure you are avoiding additives and preservatives. If you like, you can even strive for a 100 percent organic facial mask.

The first will work best for dry skin. Take 2 ounces of fresh avocado, an ounce of orange juice, a teaspoon of acacia honey, and a teaspoon of molasses and 5 drops of chamomile essential oil and put them in a blender for blending or a large bowl if you prefer to mash them by hand. If, for some reason, the mixture comes out too thick, go ahead and add another ounce or so of orange juice. Once you have your paste together, use your fingers to spread the mixture over your entire face and neck. Leave the mask on for at least 30 minutes, but longer would be better. A warm flannel is best to rinse the mask off your face and will help exfoliate and clean your face as you wash off the mask. If there is some left over, it can be kept in the refrigerator for a day or two. You will find your face moisturized and feeling healthy after this homemade facial mask.

If you can’t be bothered making this all up yourself you can buy some great Natural Skincare Products online!

Plastic surgeon Dr. Joe Gryskiewicz wants to reach out to the more than ten million people who will have cosmetic surgery in 2007 with a consumer-friendly guide that stresses the need to be healthy both physically and mentally before pursuing cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Gryskiewicz (Gris-Ka’-vitz), fondly called “Dr. Joe” by his patients, has been a surgeon for more than two decades and has seen the industry grow tremendously. His book, Your Body, Your Beauty, Your Safety is designed to educate patients before they step into a cosmetic surgeon’s office.

The doctor estimates as many as 10 percent of cosmetic surgery patients are not happy with the outcome of their surgery because of unrealistic expectations.

“Cosmetic surgery is a wonderful option to improve the lives of many people; however often the patient’s psychological reasons for having a procedure aren’t considered or discussed prior to the surgery,” said Dr. Gryskiewicz. “With all of the new procedures and the attention given to the industry by the media, many patients develop unrealistic expectations about the impact that cosmetic surgery will have on their lives and if all elements aren’t adequately considered, the patient won’t be happy with the outcome.”

As a patient safety advocate and a former spokesperson for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Dr. Gryskiewicz counsels his patients on the mental and physical changes of cosmetic surgery. His book provides a checklist that can help a patient determine whether or not they are ready to undergo plastic surgery, as well as reasons to rethink the process:

Dr. Gryskiewicz’s Reasons Not To Go Under the Knife:

   – To please your spouse or partner.
   – As a reaction to a midlife crisis.
   – As a reaction to a life-changing event, such as death or divorce.
   – If you suffer from ongoing depression.
   – If you have major health problems.
   – To land Mr. or Mrs. Wonderful.
   – To just be happy.

Dr. Gryskiewicz recommends that patients find a doctor who will spend time talking through each procedure and warns patients that plastic surgery is not a “band-aid to life’s problems,” but rather a long-term lifestyle change.
  Â

Holidays are a time for dressing up and looking your best, whether you want to go all out and get glamorous or just add a little color to your everyday look. Famed beauty expert and beauty director of ELLE magazine Emily Dougherty shares her best holiday beauty advice, along with tips from some of the most famous makeup artists and hair stylists in the world, as featured in the beauty pages of ELLE magazine. Â Â Â

Fragrance: “With all the fragrances out there, it can be tough picking the right one for the right person,” says Dougherty. Every month ELLE reveals its readers’ favorites in the Top 5 feature. ELLE polls readers across the country on their specific favorites in a hot beauty category and readers log on to ELLE.com to share their picks. For the December issue, Dougherty asked readers to pick their favorite scents that never miss. According to them, you can’t go wrong with one of these winners: Benefit Maybe Baby, Chanel No. 5 Parfum, Clinique Happy, Thierry Mugler Angel Eau de Parfum, and Jo Malone Orange Blossom Cologne.

Skin: “If you have a little time, prep your skin for a night out with a smoothing scrub,” Dougherty advises. “Follow with a light moisturizer, and then put concealer just where you need it.” Finish with a dusting of powder. Celeb tip: For a face perfect for holiday photos, Gina Brooke, makeup artist to Madonna, suggests prepping the skin with Lisa Ashley The Ultimate Moisturizer Silicone Spray, for an immaculate complexion.”

Eyes: “Adding a little eyeliner is the quickest way to add drama for night,” says Dougherty. “This year, try deep, beautiful jewel-tones, like emerald or plum. If you’re not so brave, brown and black are always good options.” Celeb tips: Kristofer Buckle, makeup artist to Renee Zellweger, says, “You can transform any pale daytime color into a sultry smolder by mixing it with some La Femme black eye shadow.” To brighten eyes, Joanna Schlip, makeup artist to Laura Linney, always uses Rhoto Zi eye drops, to refresh make tired eyes and give them sparkle for the camera.

Lips: “Put aside your everyday gloss and dress up with a lipstick,” Dougherty says. “Companies have put skincare technology into lipstick formulas, so you get incredible moisturization along with color.” Celeb tips: Kristofer Buckle loves Dior Rouge lipsticks in Fiery Red and Whispering Plum, “Dramatic red lips always up your diva quotient,” Buckle says. To get holiday-photo-perfect lips, Jo Strettell, Demi Moore’s makeup artist, makes her own moisturizing lipstick. She dips a Duwop Neutral Lip Pencil into a pot of Le Mer lip balm before drawing it over the mouth. You never want dry, flaky lips on camera,” Strettell says.

Hair: “Lace and thin jeweled headbands are a beautiful way to keep stray locks in place,” says Dougherty. “If your hair tends to get limp by the end of the day, pull it back in a smooth chignon.” Celeb tips: To smooth ends after blow-drying, Peter Butler, Lindsay Lohan’s stylist, uses Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Weightless Anti-Frizz Serum. For an updo-ready root boost and to help teasing hold, Ted Gibson, Angelina Jolie’s stylist, suggests sprinkling a little Johnson’s Baby Powder into the crown, carefully avoiding the hairline. Â Â Â “Remember, it’s the holidays, so anything goes,” Dougherty says. “Be brave and try something new.”

ELLE’s Emily Dougherty is a leading voice in all things beauty. Not just a beauty maven, Dougherty is an investigative journalist who aims to cut through the beauty confusion and report fairly on the newest ingredients, best trends, and most wearable shades, providing real beauty know-how for every woman.

‘Tis the season to overindulge and overextend yourself. Rushing from party to party might be fun and exciting, but if a person is not careful, it will take a toll on his or her skin. But with a little extra effort, a people can look their best — in spite of holiday stress. carefair.com, the beauty and skincare portal, provides skincare tips and tricks that will keep a person looking fabulous and feeling festive during the upcoming holiday months. Cheers!

1) Start with a Clean Slate
Kick off this festive and busy season with healthy skin: book an appointment for your favorite skincare treatment. Whether a person likes to indulge in pampering aromatherapy facials or prefer a quick fruit acid peel, deep cleaning and exfoliating skin will help sustain its clarity and radiance during the holidays.

2) Give Your Skin a Breath of Fresh Air
Oxygenated skincare products give a brighter, clearer skin by delivering it with antioxidants and nutrients. Try an oxygen mask to perk up a dull, over-partied complexion and activate the skin`s metabolism, to improve circulation and banish blemishes.

3) Send Under Eye Bags Packing
You sure had fun at the company Christmas party … perhaps too much fun. So you overdid it on the champagne, gobbled an embarrassing amount of peanut brittle and got four hours of sleep. Make puffy peepers presentable with a firming eye serum or gel. Always keep an eye gel or eye mask in the fridge for just these kind of emergencies. Avoid creams or balms — they won`t help lessen the swelling. If you have time, brew some tea and then use the cooled tea bags as eye compresses. The tannin helps reduce puffiness.

4) Relax Wrinkles with Peptides
Want to look years younger without painful, expensive injections? Say ‘no’ to the needle and ‘yes’ to one of the many products formulated with peptides like Gamma Amino Butric Acid (GABA). Peptides help relax and lessen the appearance of brow furrows, crow’s feet and other expression lines and creases.

5) Quench Your Skin`s Thirst
Sugar, alcohol, stress and lack of sleep are the main culprits behind dehydrated, lackluster holiday skin. If you can`t curtail the parties, get extra help from a hydrating facial mask. To restore skin`s natural moisture levels and luminosity, try a cream, gel or cloth mask as often as needed. Look for anti-inflammatory and soothing ingredients like green tea and hyaluronic acid.

6) Take Your Vitamins
Winter is no time to skimp on nutrition. Be vigilant about supplements to ensure you’re getting the antioxidants, minerals and essential fatty acids the skin and body needs. Don`t like taking pills? Take vitamins in powder form — just add an on-the-go packet to water or juice. Try to drink at least 8 oz. of water every day. Remember: alcohol and sugar are extremely dehydrating.

As you start thinking about your New Year’s resolutions, remember that a healthy lifestyle means taking care of you from hair to toe. Research shows that physically active people manage stress better, sleep better, and have a better attitude about life. Exercise is just one facet to living a healthier lifestyle. A healthy head of hair can also go a long way to helping you LOOK and FEEL good. It’s why Soft & Beautiful and Curves have come together to promote total wellness during the holiday months. Here are a few simple tips from Soft & Beautiful hair care expert Roslyn Baker to help you become soft and beautiful from hair to toe.

Shape Up
Your hair and body both require some effort to keep it in top shape. Developing a consistent exercise plan will be easy to maintain if you consider your life style and set realistic goals. The same goes for your hair. Make it a priority to keep your hair in good shape. Strenuous workouts can cause the hair and scalp to produce excessive secretions, leading to oily, flat and shapeless hair. For natural body and luster, be sure to shampoo and condition hair regularly to remove debris and scalp sebum oil.

(eek – I really need a hair cut!! – Brig.)
