Think Positively! to Self Reliance and Constructive Change
Without positive thought, there is no room for constructive change and self-reliance to blossom and develop. By training ourselves to think positively and enthusiastically, we can delve inside our minds and uncover the strengths that even we didn’t know we had inside of ourselves. Thinking positive is the only surefire way to bring about change in your life and to start you on the road to self-reliance and constructive changes in your life.
Trust your subconscious. Sometime during the day, stop yourself and just look at the situation around you. Are you happy? Do you feel like this is where you want to be? Do you feel at home, comfortable or content with the situation? Most importantly, do you feel like the career or job that you’re in is something you can continue doing?
If you realize you’re not happy with your job or your career, it’s time to figure out why. When you walk by a shiny window or a full-length mirror, do you look at yourself? Do you like how you look or do you cringe at the sight of who you are? If you are disgusted with what you have become, there’s no need in lamenting and being depressed. This realization is your first step towards happiness.
Think positively. Instead of thinking about all of the things in your life that are going wrong, come up with ideas and situations that could make you happy. Dream up the perfect job or the perfect relationship, and then strive to find it! When you’re thinking positively and enthusiastically, you are more likely to be energetic and outgoing and thus are more likely to make better connections both business wise and relationship wise.Â
By using this positive thought, you are now thinking for yourself. You are using the good thoughts and ideas that dwell inside of you to bring about change. This is self-reliance. You are relying on the thoughts and ideas that you, yourself, have come up with by thinking positively to bring about the changes you want. These constructive changes are what you are striving to achieve.
Before you go about making your constructive changes, you must ask yourself “Is this what I really want?†Because if you’re trying to make changes in your life that you’re not completely happy with, you’ll soon find yourself back at square one. In order to achieve happiness, you have to want the changes you’re bringing about.
If your job is too stressful, use your positive thought to get a promotion. If the promotion that you get doesn’t improve your happiness or your comfort, maybe you should think about switching careers. If the very nature or idea of your job gets you down, than maybe you’re not cut out for that field of work. Use your positive thoughts to find out what you’re good at and then do it!
There is no situation in your life that cannot be improved. If you think that, your life is hopeless, going nowhere, dead end, than you’re probably right. If you believe that you can change that and that you can eventually be happy with your job and personal life, then you will be.
The key to any situation is not to let your negative thoughts weigh you down. When you think negatively, you doubt yourself. Self-doubt makes you less likely to trust your instincts and the concept of self-reliance is thrown straight out the window. In order to bring about constructive change in your life through self-reliance, you must do just what the strategy implies and rely on yourself! If you think positively, have hope and trust in your potential, you will achieve great things.
