How to realize its not what you believe but that you believe

The key to life is your religion; however, there is so much hype over what you believe that people have forgotten the purpose of believing. It doesn’t matter what you believe, but that you believe. There are so many wars in the name of religion, but you lose the sight of your religion when you attack another. Being raised catholic, you will be told that your religion is the only true religion, in fact, all religions say that. You know why?

They need the membership, to be quite honest. How can you call yourself a Christian, when you put down another person because of their religion. When it comes to Christianity, it is a religion that believes in one God and Jesus Christ. There are Methodists, Baptists, Catholics, Orthodox, and more that all believe in God and J.C., however, they criticize each other. Who cares about the small details of what happens and how in the bible! They all believe about the same end. In the end, a Christian will either go to hell or heaven. We all share the same fate, but because of a title, some feel superior to others.

Some people don’t have a Christian based religion, however, they all have a religion that states what’s right and wrong. All religions have a basis of the same right and wrongs, and that is why we have general laws in our states and countries. When it comes to religion, if you follow the belief, you will find your haven. Knowing that there is a place after life that you will go and enjoy your afterlife is the reason why we feel empowered by religion. Everyone has a different haven or variety of heaven, but it’s the goal of all humanity.

Our religions help us find the strength to follow our path of righteousness to find the safe haven after life. It doesn’t matter the details of your life, religion, or after life, what matters is that you made the most out of it. What matters is that when you were down on your knees, there was a divine power inside of you that allowed you to carry on. This divine power helped you and carried you in your time of need and you got through the rough times. If you don’t believe in anything, you will never know what it feels like to be empowered. You will never know what it feels like to be truly supported.

Religion is one of the hardest things for people to get over, but as long as you believe, then you should never let anyone take that away from you. In fact, when you believe, you are empowered with a divine light that stays inside of you. No one can ever take that away from you. You’ll always have someone or something inside you to help you through the craziness of life and through the best times of your life.

Going back to Christianity, have you ever read the poem Footprints?  In the poem God walks along side of a man in the best times of his life. In the best times he saw two footprints in the sand. When times got rough, there was only one. When the man asked God why he left him, God responded by saying,” During your times of trial and suffering,

When you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.” You will find that in any religion, with any God, that this is true. In your time of need, your religion will help carry you to the safe haven and you will find the strength to carry on and the strength to follow a high moral life.
