Appreciating Nature

How can you appreciate nature?  There are plenty of ways to appreciate nature, and you can use it to your advantage.   (Which soulds weird, but bear with me!) Learning how to appreciate the beauty and intelligence of nature will open some “internal doors” for you. Every being in the natural world seems to know it’s place and they have no complaints. They are so content with who they are it’s hard to see a bear depressed because he’s a bear, but nature is so different than what humans do. Humans are always wondering about their lives and where they belong.  When you take a walk to the park, sit down, and watch everyone go past you.  Take photographs, they don’t need to be good (but if you want to get better.. check out http://www.brooks.edu/)  You should notice the squirrels, the rabbits, and all the other animals and watch how they react to their surroundings. Immediately they will know what to do. You should use that for inspiration. If they know deep in their heart what their role in life is, why can’t you?  Sit there and watch for a while. Then close your eyes and think about everything that comes so natural to you and you will find your role in life will be just that. Everything that comes natural to you is a part of your true role in life. That’s something to think about.

Go for a walk and notice how nature changes to adjust to the environment. The spring, the leaves grow back and then in the summer plants flower, and then in the fall they change once again. They change naturally and it doesn’t affect them. That’s something to think about also. Change doesn’t affect nature, why should you be stressed about it?  Change is natural and it is something that happens every couple months. We change in relationships, friendships, work, home, everything can change. You should learn how to accept the change and use nature as support and as an inspiration. Look at the leaves change and fall. Maybe you’re going through a change and you will find ups and down in life. With the bad comes the good, and change is never a bad thing. You can learn and grow from change.

You know what nature also does, it adapts quickly to the changes. Have you ever transplanted a plant?  It still grew to be strong and beautiful. This is because nature doesn’t worry or fret. Sometimes you will find that you are so stressed out from all the change in your life, but if you think about everything individually, is there anything worth the worry?  Humans can adapt to anything just like anything else in nature. If you lose a job, you automatically cut back on savings. If you purchase home, you may adapt by making it your special place. We adapt so quickly to some change, and then wallow about other changes. If only you could adapt to everything and learn how to make a positive out of every negative, you would find your life would be a whole a lot better. You’d be able to enjoy your life if you didn’t worry so much.

However, there are times when you need to enjoy your life and nature without having to reflect on it. If you find yourself stressed, you can go out for a walk or to the park and watch the world pass you by. You will see so much on a walk and it can be calming and peaceful. Nature should be embraced in your life because there is so much to learn and nature has it all figured out. All life’s important questions can be found on a walk on a path or even around the block. You can find comfort in nature and you can find yourself by appreciating nature.
