we have a great friend who has had alot of trouble with her newborn baby.Â
We ourselves are about to start IVF! It’s a big committment both time wise, emotionally and financially. Lucky we have insurance from my work that is free. I’d hate to think what we could be up for if we had to pay for it all ourselves! Each round is nearly four thousand dollars.Â
There are alot of different kinds of insurance, including Maternity Health Insurance which covers all kinds of maternal concerns including reproductive health treatment.
The most amazing thing about my friend who just had a baby is that she is 50 years old and they used a donor egg! She hit menopause early (at only 36 years of age) and was told that donor wouldn’t be suitable for her. That’s a real shame because I’m sure it would have been easier on her to have had a baby 10 years ago!
