I’m going to ask for plants for Christmas…
I’m really sick of our sickly looking balcony.. unfortunately it’s ont he cold side of the building and doesnt get much sun.. we never go out there and it just collects leaves! Ages ago I bought some beatutiful metal plantar pots but I have never done anything with them. Well.. now is the time! I really want to make the balcony a useable space.
The “My Garden” Blog at House N Style says this about making a focus in your garden:
Find a central focus for your yard
This can be anything from a statue, to the play set or even a single tree. Finding a focus for your landscaping gives you a point of reference so that you give your design a better sense of order rather than just having plants scattered everywhere.
I have a big flat shallow metal plantar that matches the others - this could really work as the focus to the balcony. I may need to toss some stuff tho as the pots are a little hodge podge at the moment.
It would be nice to have a green retreat right outside! I could replicate something like the plantar boxes at http://www.plantabox.com.au/
